The USPTO Terminates Ex Parte Reexamination Request

The USPTO Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) today terminated an ex parte reexamination request filed against U.S. Patent No. 9,539,167 on February 16, 2024.  The CRU found that the petition “does not present any new, noncumulative technological teaching with respect to the cited prior art that was not considered in the earlier examination reexamination, and therefore the Request does not raise a SNQP [Substantial New Question of Patentability] with respect to claims 1-31 of the ‘167 Patent.”

The CRU’s Written Decision can be found here.
